YOU Turns

Working together to connect children and youth to whom and what they need for success in both school and life, things are improving.

Our Successes
36% Increase
Increase in youth who are able to solve problems without harming themselves or others.
20.5% Decrease
Decrease in youth who drink at least once a month or more in a year.
33.3% Decrease
Almost a one third decrease in Chronic Absenteeism in Moncton and Harrison Trimble High Schools.
How We Are Igniting Potential
Relationships: Connecting Youth to Caring Adults
One of our most innovative ways of connecting youth to the supports and services they need is through our Strategic Coordinators. They are constant, positive adults in the lives of our youth and they are links to other caring partners.
Positive Activities & Services
Youth are realizing their potential through innovative activities such as Summer Transition Programs, School Supports, Safe Spaces, and the Youth Mental Health Summit. These events are inspiring youth to be more than they can be and to aspire to a better future for themselves.
Services and Programs Providing Skills for School and Life
Now that youth have realized their potential, we are connecting them to places in their communities where they can acquire skills to achieve their goals. These spaces include Raising the Grade, Outdoor Grit, The Chase, The Atlantic Wellness Centre and Youth Impact.
WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our Values

Working collaboratively with Government, Community Partners and YOU Turns Strategic Coordinators, we all believe that:

Success and hope are different for everyone
Youth need authentic, trusting relationships that are caring and motivating
Youth need to be empowered to play valuable roles
Youth are partners in understanding, building and transforming culture.

What if...

Imagine what it would mean for our region if all our children could reach their full potential. If we as adults wanted them to be all that they can be!

Do you believe that success and hope look different for everyone?
Can you be that caring, positive adult in a young person’s life? Can you connect them to a project or activity that will help them learn a valuable skill? Can you support one of the 17 stakeholder partners that is committed to making this difference? Volunteer now!
