Khalid was struggling with his English before he started attending programs at the Boys and Girls Club of Moncton at age 7. Through their Raise the Grade program, he developed a love of reading and now, he says, “I’m as good as the kids at school are.”

One of United Way’s 21 funded agencies, the Boys and Girls Club of Moncton’s Momentum Initiative works with young people to overcome barriers related to a wide range of issues, including education.
