Get UP 4 Greater Moncton

Register today for the first-ever N.B. edition of United Way’s virtual physical challenge: Get UP for Greater Moncton!

Your community needs your help! Let’s Get UP and get active from November 22 to December 10*, 2021 to support people and families who have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic in our own community.

TAKE THE CHALLENGE

All you have to do is Get UP and move your body for 210 minutes (that’s 10 minutes for each of the frontline community agencies United Way supports across Greater Moncton and Southeastern N.B!). And the activity is all about YOU! You get to pick the activity: running, jumping, skipping, dancing, biking, yoga—anything goes! It’s your chance to get your heart pumping, show some local love and raise funds to help fight local poverty.

HOW IT WORKS

Register to participate and start fundraising. Each dollar raised goes towards helping people and families experiencing issues like poverty, hunger and homelessness.

Start a Team upon registration, or join one! Ask your family, friends, neighbours and colleagues to show their local love by joining you for Get UP 2021. 

Going solo? That works too! Ask your community to show their local love by contributing to your fundraising campaign.

Registration costs for solo entrants or team members if $20 for adults; $10 for youth under 18 years of age.

All participants are encouraged to raise a suggested minimum of $100. If you fundraise at least $100 ($50 for youth participants), you will receive one (1) entry for the chance to win some fun prizes donated by local businesses and sports teams! For every additional $50 raised ($25 for youth participants) before 11:59 p.m. on December 10, you will receive an additional one (1) entry. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Make Get UP your own. How you get your 210 minutes in is up to you! You can do it all at once, commit to 30 minutes a day for seven days or spread the challenge out over two weeks by doing 15 minutes a day. 

Share your progress. As you work toward your 210-minute goal, be sure to join other participants in sharing your progress on social media using #UP4GreaterMoncton.
