Zumba Instructor: Manuel Olvera
Hi I’m a guy from Mexico City with more than 20 years of experience in dance and arts, being ZIN Zumba since 2014. I really enjoy and love the art of dancing as it is the space where it doesn’t matter where you come from, which kind of situations you have; whenever someone gathers to dance, the sorrows are forgotten.
HIIT & Meditation/Stretching Instructor: Araceli Cancino, Fitness and Well-Being Expert
Our well-being goes far beyond our physical condition and our health goals may change. This is why for more than 10 years I have been supporting my students and clients in achieving their goals through various methods of muscle strengthening, postural correction, breathing techniques, cardiovascular work, stretching, self-massages and meditation.
BollyX Instructors: Simi Chacko and Elizabeth Pradeep, from Izzsi Dance Studio
BollyX is a Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines exhilarating choreography and intensive workouts with upbeat music from India and around the world. BollyX is a cardio workout that cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to deliver a total body workout. At the very core of a BollyX workout is the inspiration it draws from the music and dance of Bollywood, the central film industry of India. The BollyX fitness curriculum has been created by AFAA-certified instructors and world-class choreographers to ensure a safe, approachable, engaging and highly effective dance workout for all.
Functional Training Instructors: Ally Santos and Daniel Burguez from 3rd Degree Training
Ally: On her journey, she discovered the most fundamental development we need in our lives: is nurturing our Body and Mind through a healthy lifestyle, exercise, nutrition, and meditation. Today, her passion is a new career and venture! She wants to help people feel good about themselves – the key to happiness, and everybody wants that!
Daniel: His journey in wellness started about ten years ago. As he gradually learned that it was possible to increase health and wellness through simple changes in lifestyle, he wanted to share his learnings and help other people see improvements in their lives. He felt like it was time to pursue a new career. After so many years in fitness and nutrition, he got certified as a personal trainer and became an entrepreneur! His passion became a full-time job.
3rd Degree Training is a coach inspired, small group training studio. We provide workouts that focus on total body fitness, and our secret lies in our famous functional training workouts that toggle between cardio and muscle conditioning with a large dose of high energy motivation, a very strong sense of community and accountability.
Chair Yoga Instructor: Jane McKnight, YMCA Instructor
I have been with the YMCA for over 30 years and the last 16 as the Director of Group Fitness. I teach many different classes but started teaching yoga about 20 years ago. We saw a need for a yoga class that could be more accessible for seniors or those with disabilities who aren’t able to attend a regular yoga class because of mobility issues – chair yoga has filled that void and we have had a lot of success with this class at the Y.
Stretching Instructor: Eldiyar Daniyarov, Professional Ballet Dancer and Choreographer
Creative and experienced dance professional Eldiyar Daniyarov is a winner of the International Contest of Contemporary and Folk Dance and a winner of a scholarship program of Paul Taylor dance academy in New York. He recently worked with the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada as a performer and instructor, and he’s happy to facilitate a gentle stretching class as part of the Get UP series.
