Everyday Heroes Celebrated: United Way Launches 2025 Campaign with $2.45M Goal
Moncton, NB September 15, 2025 – United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick is kicking off its 2025 fundraising campaign with a bold call to action: Stand with local heroes. Give like an Everyday Hero.
With a target of $2.45 million, this year’s Everyday Hero campaign celebrates the quiet champions in our community, frontline workers, volunteers, and donors who step up every day to make a difference.
“Everyday heroes live right here in our region,” said Andre Comeau, Co-Chair of the United Way Campaign Cabinet. “When you give through United Way, you are walking beside them, helping kids find mentors, ensuring youth have access to mental health supports, and helping families move from poverty to possibilities.”
United Way plays a unique role by raising funds so 16 local charities and programs can focus on what they do best, helping people. Payroll giving, corporate donations, and individual gifts fuel essential services like mental health supports, youth programs, and poverty reduction initiatives.
“Last year, we moved to a five-year funding model for our strategic and anchor partners,” said Debbie McInnis, CEO of United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern NB and Miramichi. “This gives local charities stability so they can plan ahead, retain staff, and focus on supporting people instead of worrying about constant fundraising.”
“Your gift stays local and multiplies impact,” said Beth Crawford, Resource Development Manager. “Instead of funding just one program, you are supporting a network of trusted partners. Together, we can identify urgent needs and build a stronger, more equitable community.”
Last year, the community raised $2,345,612.61, directly impacting lives across Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick. This year, the need is even greater.
The campaign runs September through January and is powered by workplace giving, we need to acknowledge corporate donations, foundations, and not sure how to say it but maybe individual direct individual donations, and special events.
