FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Empowering Communities through Unity and Compassion.

(Moncton, NB – September 22, 2023) – The United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New
Brunswick proudly unveils its 2023 campaign: “The Power of You”. With a target of $2,300,000 this year,
the organization seeks to further instill the essence of community spirit and collaboration, ensuring
support and resources for everyone.

“We’ve seen what we can achieve when we unite,” says Campaign Cabinet Chair, Roberto Di Donato.
“Our collective efforts, no matter how small or large, have had remarkable outcomes, raising millions for
essential causes. Each meeting, each fundraising activity, underscores our commitment to ensuring
children and youth have mentors, nutritious meals, and avenues filled with opportunities. Together, we not
only fundraise but also foster hope.”

“The Power of You campaign underscores that every contribution, irrespective of size, has immense
value. Each individual has the power to drive change, to impact lives, and to create ripples of positivity.
The power isn’t just within the collective, but intrinsically in every You” said Mischka Jacobs, Resource
Development Director at United Way.

The 2023 campaign will primarily run from September through December, continuing the tradition of
raising funds through workplace payroll deduction programs, individual and corporate donations, and
exclusive events. Last year, the generosity of workplaces and individuals amounted to an impressive
$2,217,983.65, directly impacting the lives of countless community members.

wings to the Tantramar region, embracing a total of nine schools, ensuring youth have all the
resources and guidance they need for a bright future.
● Impact of 211 NB: 211 NB continues to serve as a lifeline for many, assisting over 65,000 New
Brunswick residents in 2022 alone, connecting them with crucial resources to navigate life’s
