Leroy

Leroy’s life changed when he started attending the safe space program with the Big Cove First Nations Wellness Committee. He grew up an only child for 14 years. It took him a long time to be able to socialize with his own family, let alone other kids. The program allowed him to feel safe, accepted, and gave him the tools to discover his talents and passions.

Leroy spent his summer working at the Wellness Centre. He will be attending St.Thomas University in September to get a Bachelor of Arts in music and theater. “My is goal is to come back to my community and bring a music and theatre class because I believe that music is a pathway for healing”.
